This Privacy Policy explains how PreTrippy (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles user and device data. This policy is intended to support publication on Google Play and to help users understand our current data handling approach, including future support for advertising-based monetization in later versions.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the PreTrippy mobile application, its related support pages, and any services directly connected to the app experience.
2. What PreTrippy does
PreTrippy is a travel preparation app that helps users make practical decisions before a trip. Depending on the version of the app, this may include tools such as luggage fit estimation, carry-on liquid checks, bag weight estimation, item restriction lookup, travel checklist generation, saved planning states, and budget planning support.
3. Information we may process
Depending on the feature being used, the app may process user-provided travel planning inputs such as:
- Trip length, bag type, clothing counts, toiletries level, and electronics level
- Liquid item names and quantities
- Item search queries for travel rule lookup
- Checklist selections and saved planning progress
- Budget planning inputs such as total budget, number of travelers, and travel style
At the current stage of the app, these inputs are intended to support app functionality. If the app stores or syncs any of this information in future versions, this policy will be updated accordingly.
4. Personal data and sensitive data
PreTrippy is designed as a travel utility app and does not intentionally request unnecessary sensitive personal information. The app should only access, collect, use, or process user-provided or device-related data when required for the features users expect to use.
If future versions include analytics, advertising, attribution, or additional SDK integrations, we will update both this policy and the relevant disclosures in Google Play Console and within the app where required.
5. How data is used
Data processed within the app may be used to:
- Generate packing, weight, liquid, and item-rule estimates
- Save recent or user-selected planning states
- Improve continuity between sessions
- Support future app maintenance, troubleshooting, and product improvement
6. Data sharing
We do not state that user data is sold. If the app later integrates third-party services such as analytics, attribution, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs, those services may process limited data according to their own privacy practices and our disclosed app configuration.
Where applicable, any future third-party integrations will be disclosed through updated privacy disclosures and, if required, in-app notices.
7. Advertising and future IAA support
PreTrippy is being prepared as an IAA-style product and is expected to integrate the Google AdMob SDK in future advertising-enabled versions. If advertising is enabled later, the app may use Google AdMob and potentially related monetization, analytics, fraud-prevention, or attribution tools. If that happens:
- The app’s Google Play “Contains ads” declaration will be updated as required
- This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect the data handling behavior of Google AdMob and any other advertising or measurement SDKs actually used
- Ad-related identifiers or analytics tools will only be used in accordance with applicable platform policies and disclosed usage
- Advertising content and delivery should comply with Google Play Ads policies
Future advertising integrations may include limited data handling for ad delivery, fraud prevention, performance measurement, frequency capping, or contextual monetization, depending on the SDKs and configuration used at that time.
8. Google Play policy alignment
We intend to keep PreTrippy aligned with relevant Google Play requirements, including but not limited to:
- Providing a publicly accessible privacy policy URL
- Maintaining accurate app content declarations
- Disclosing if the app contains ads
- Providing truthful data handling and safety disclosures
- Updating this policy if app behavior changes
9. Data storage and retention
At the current stage, some planning data may be stored locally on the user’s device to support saved states, recent tools, checklist progress, and similar continuity features.
If future versions introduce cloud sync, account systems, or server-side storage, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what is stored, how long it is retained, and how users can request deletion where applicable.
10. Security
We aim to handle app data using reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app’s scope. Where future network transmission is introduced, we expect to use secure transport methods such as HTTPS where applicable.
11. Children’s privacy
PreTrippy is not specifically designed for children. If future product direction changes in a way that affects target audience classification, the app and this policy should be updated accordingly to comply with Google Play requirements.
12. User choices and control
Users may choose whether to provide planning inputs to the app. Some app features depend on those inputs to function properly. If future versions support user accounts, cloud sync, or account deletion workflows, this policy will be updated with the corresponding controls and user rights information.
13. Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, SDK integrations, advertising enablement, analytics changes, policy requirements, or legal obligations. When updates are material, we will revise the “Last updated” date and publish the latest version through the official policy URL.
